wathcin video while driving
Hey, Does anyone know how to make your audi have video going while driving. I found a way to get video on an sdcard but it stops when driving. I have a 2012 audi A6 3.0 quattro sports package. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

You would need to activate VIM (Video in Motion) using a tool like Ross-Tech VCDS. Do a search on "VIM". Be advised it is illegal to have videos playing in the front seat row while driving in most states. And unsafe. Hence the Audi defeat of the ability.

I've seen this topic and subsequent debate before on other forums. Usually, the OP comes back and claims it's for the passenger. However, no one has even been able to dispute that human nature will result in the driver looking at the screen when something compelling happens. Put your passenger in the back and hand them an iPad if they can't reach their destination without seeing a movie.

And, as I wrote, it's illegal in most states to have video playing on the screen while the car is moving no matter the reason. The only valid use I can think of for having VIM activated is to be able to listen to music videos while the MMI screen is in another mode.

You are assuming that the OP is in a state in the US. He maybe in the Sahara desert where traffic consists of camels and VIM only passes the time before the next oasis.
