Who knew this would work for calipers?
So I opened my paint cabinet and found 3/4 can of some Rustoleum orange paint. I thought I try it out as a "mockup" to see if I liked the colour before buying real caliper paint, I assumed it would last until my first hard braking and burn or flake off. But it's been over 5 months now and they are still glossy. I have been through a winter and a bunch of auto car washes and manual ones. Paint is still holding up, super surprised! For about $14 a can, it's a lot cheaper than traditional high temp caliper paint.
Just curious how long it will last. I did a lot of sanding and cleaning prior to painting them. Its all in the prep work they say. Buy, really surprised they lasted almost half a year so far. Interesting.
