Default Oil leak suddenly got real bad....help

So I have been chasing an oil leak on my 2.8L for a while. I re-did the VC gaskets, no luck so I bought a kit on Blauparts because the places where oil was dripping was consistent with the CCT seals/plugs. I have been waiting for a chance to do it since the leak hasn't been too bad. Maybe a quart every 3 weeks or so. I just checked the oil the other day and it still was ok. All of a sudden today I noticed a huge puddle under the car. It is dripping noticeably right down the center of the oil pan and was down 3+quarts. Something else must have popped. At this point I am resigned to putting her in the service position and replacing everything. Anyone have any idea why the leak got real bad all of a sudden? Is visible leaking down the center of the oil pan indicative of something? I am not a mechanic (obviously) but here are the places I can think if where oil is possible coming from:

VC
camshaft seals
crankshaft seals
CCT seals
CCT plugs (half moon)
oil pan

Am I missing anywhere else obvious, or maybe not that obvious?

any help would be greatly appreciated.

Before you tear it all apart, check the oil cooler o-ring.

Another thing, check the PCv valve, it could be clogged. What mileage?

Thank for the reply guys. It has 110K. I filled it with oil, cleaned the bottom and ran it. It immediately started leaking BAD from what looks like the front crank seal. It was just flowing down right down the middle of the oil pan. Could it be anything else?

Mine is a 2000 A6 so I am not sure if that is applicable. This leak is bad.....probably too bad for a sensor of any kind

Had that problem last month. In my case was crankshaft seal. If that's the case remember to buy new crankshaft bolt along with the seal. You will also need crankshaft lock pin, and a cam lock bar.
