01366 error code - need help

Default 01366 error code - need help
Hi all, I have buy an Audi A6 avant 2.8 quattro 99'. The car is look pretty well. I have read all modules with my VAGCOM and the error "01366 - Open due crash" was stored in central locking.
I have very deep look on car before baying and it seems that there is no crash.
Please tell if there any possibility that the reason for this DTC is not accident but something else, or my car was involved in wreck?

It is sometimes triggered as a result of tests carried by a dealer. They run a simulation of a crash to see that the doors are unlocked and the fuel pump is turned off etc....

OK... I hope that you are right, because there is no way to be sure that the delar has perfomed such a test.

Just examine the inner front wings, chassis legs etc.. for signs of being on a jig or new paint and filler etc...

Do the front doors open and close nicely and has the dashboard or steering wheel been replaced?

Yes, I have examine all this stuff that your are talking about, and they look very good. The doors are open and close without any efforts, the steering and dashboard looks in good condition. Every thing seems to be alright.
Because I'm not so good on such a diagnostic, later this weekend I'll post here some pictures of mentioned parts and whole car.

I agree with Edd. I've seen that code in a few cars. It's not anything to worry about. I visual inspection for paint work is far more important.

x3 working at VW we had a new EOS that i was perfoming a PDI on and it had said the roll over bars had been activated, shich obviously didnt happen as the car was brand new

Although it is hard to tell from this distance it looks like the front sheet metal and engine compartment have been repainted. It also looks like the left fender is overflush to the headlamp assembly.

I'm not sure, the car was cleaned very good, maybe this is the reason, I'm not sure
