2000 A6 4.2 Cold Air Intake
Time to start making some upgrades to the old girl. Been looking all over for a Cold Air Intake for my
2000 A6 4.2. Can't seem to find one anywhere. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

Really not worth it. The stock air box setup is very effective. You will not gain anything by going to a CAI.
I don't even know if someone make one for the C5 A6.

HP upgrade or not, I've had an intake on a V8 before and the sound at FT is amazing. I would do it just for the sound again, since with these cars there is little to no HP boosts available so might as well search for good sound

Got the silver insulation wrap at Home Depot and did the whole intake path from grill to back of engine. Used thin gardening wire to tie it in place. Helped stave off the heat soak longer, but not forever in city traffic.
