Default 2001 A6 4.2 - load calculation cross check - CEL code

Need some help guys. I continue to get a CEL on my 01 A6 4.2 after clearing it with Vag-com, P1141 "load calculation cross check: implausible value".

I have read several posts that indicate this may be the MAF. The car has 116K miles, and it has not been replaced to my knowledge. Has anyone had this code on their 4.2? Thanks for your help.

Default Do you have a K&N filter on that thing? First thing I'd do is clean the MAF,

... and the throttle body, and any other sensors in the intake tract. Then see if it comes back.

I got that with my A4, years ago, and after cleaning all the aforementioned sensors, and tossing my K&N filter in the trash, it's never come back.

No K&N, stock filter, but I will try cleaning the MAF and check the intake boot. Thanks for the info.

Default Check throttle body Part# with your dealer, there was an update

...for this. And , no im not talking about 2.8 throttle body update. If your part# is differnent from what the dealer tells you , you need the new one.

Finally fixed it. Replaced several leaking vacuum lines, a damaged airpump hose and replaced the MAF. Now I am getting a CEL for "bank 2 catalyst below efficiency threshold". The dealer wants to sell me a new drivers side catalytic converter installed for $1,600, but I am not convinced. Any thoughts? Thanks.
