Default A6 sensor problems

A6, 3.0, 2003, CVT, 126k miles

PRND started flashing a while back but the car was driving just fine. The dealership quoted me $8k for complete TCM replacement. I ran for my life.

Gave my car to an independent transmission specialist and he came back to me saying I have faults with the following sensors:
1. Air flow sensor
2. Output speed sensor
3. Speed sensor
4. T-gear ring sensor

Firstly, I have no clue what these sensors are. Tried googling. Got some hits but no idea about the T-Gear Ring sensor. Can anyone pls help?

Secondly, any suggestions on the diagnosis? Should I just go ahead with replacements of these sensors? What should be my next line of action?

Please advice. Need some desperately.

EXTREMELY unusual that ALL these sensors are failed simultaneously.

Find an independent AUDI shop and try again.

Rodent problems? Squirrels and related varmints are known to feast on underhood wiring causing all sorts of drivability concerns. Seriously.

Sounds like a dealership...instead of isolating the problem, lets just fix everything and charge the customer crazy amounts! Have an independent shop atcually test the continuity of each sensor and check the actual connections. Sounds like something just became loosened or a bad power wire caused several sensors to fail.
