Default I take it the device you are using has a limted keyboard, or is that how you normally converse?

And....yes, it is normal for the oil temp to rise but street racing is just plain idiotic.

Do not expect any interest in racing activities anywhere but the track from anyone here, 99% will outrightly condemn it.

Default Higher engine speeds will produce higher oil and coolant temps. Pretty basic stuff - also cold

weather will produce lower oil and coolant temps. Coolant has a thermostat to enable optimization of the coolant temp in the block, but the oil system does not. That is why your coolant temp gauge will stay pretty much at the same spot in any conditions while the oil temp will vary all over the place.

Default The oil does to some degree share the coolant thermostat providing the OEM oil cooler is still....

fitted.

Default I agree, but my point was that once you are at normal operating temp, you will almost never see the

coolant temp gauge move, but I see the oil temp gauge move all the time. (That 1st reply was supposed to be in the sarcasm font, but the damn thing never works on this forum!).
