Your 99 ABS is Bosch 5.3
Check this ABS Wizard out
http://www.modulemaster.com/en/wizard/index.php
Repair, remanufactured on ABS module service is considered to be much cheaper.

The ABS module you replaced is for FWD car only

"Component: ABS/ASR 5.3 FRONT D00"
where it says front should say Quattro , I had the same issue,
you can't change coding on those at all

I shipped to get repaired and they send me someone else module and it was for Front Wheel drive car, the part number was matched but it is for FWD car, if you shipped to company that suppose to repair try to tell them that you need your original repaired, I have find out hard way , they didn't want to give me another unit , i just went bought new one
