Blinker Problem

Hey all,

Wen I put my turn signal on (the front right) I get a rapidly flashing signal arrow in the car, and no flashing form the front corner light. the back right light also flashes very quickly. The front side marker itself does light up with my other headlights, but when I expect it to blink for a turn it doesn't blink. Any ideas.

hehe.. fuse? bad bulbs?

You have a fried contact on the plastic bulb holder. Remove it and see which one is fried. It will be black. Usually the ground one of the three contacts. However, the contact in the headlight housing could be fried. Replacing the Headlight assembly is much more expensive.....

I was just out playing with my non-functional blinker. I cleaned the contacts again with 400 grit sandpaper and bent the contacts towards the bulb to increase the pressure on the contacts. Still would not work but when I was removing it, it started working correctly. If I didn't twist it all the way into the headlight housing it worked OK. I found a sweet spot where it appears that it will keep working without buying any new parts. Also, you might want to lubricate the o-ring on the plastic holder so that getting the holder in and out is easier. I used a shot of PartsBlaster. Mine is on the left side - easy to get at. The right side has all the air intake duct work to remove....Good luck

I used my wifes nail file to get rid of some of the

corrosion on the bulb....no more problem
Mine was doing the exact same thing...works fine now

Of course, I didn't tell her

Just did this last weekend.

On mine, the contact on the bulb holder was a bit dirty, but the heat from the bad connection had melted and deformed the headlight housing. I got it to work, but for how long is anyone's guess. Check the housing.
