Default Can someone pleases help with identifying this part

In short, I set out the replace cam seals and valve cover gaskets. I was following the tech article in the resources section. However when I got to opening the 8 bolts for the valve cover; It seems this part (shown in picture below) protrudes on both driver and passenger side of the valve covers. This obstructs on the removal the valve covers. This part is not present on any of tech articles posted here even though the model is the same (01 2.7t a6) Well story short, I end up snapping this part in an effort to get more clearance and now I am Fu**ed. Can someone please tell me what this is and what is the part number of the cracked casting (visible in picture). Thanks. Also if possible please how to properly remove this part on the other side too.

April Fools, maybe?

Part number is 078 131 166J, if I remember correctly. It's part of the SAI system. The valve in the end is the combi-valve. I don't have one on my car, but looks like you need to access and remove 3 bolts. If it's just the valve that's in the way, just remove that.

The part number is molded right on the pipe itself.

Yeah I see that .. I was including "KK 12" at end in the search too; Thus google was not producing any result.
