ok, I am somewhat conservative, but so you all have given me the confidence to start out with basic aesthetic mods to my car...

I am ready to start messing with the mechanics...

Is there any chip for a 99 a6 2.8?

Or any vag com codes that will help me improve my shifting?

2.8 Not worth chipping, supercharge is available

PES-Tuning.com were around $4000 last time I looked

The old site shows $5000, not sure if it just never got updated or what. I think they had a group buy 6 months ago for closer to $3500

...get the FAQ. It'll answer all your questions. I already have the supercharger and I can honestly say it is the best mod I have done to my vehicle so far. +100HP to your 2.8 30V, and when you're done you're faster than a stock '03 2.7T 6-speed.

Couple of questions...

Did you have to do any other mods? Can the tranny handle the increase in power and torque? Thanks.

I would like to Supercharge but PES quoted me $4995 today

They also quoted $750 to install, but if possible I would rather install it myself. They said it was bolt on so I am assuming the parts would just be more time consuming than tricky to install. Could PES have quoted me the wrong price, is there an Audiworld group discount available or would anyone else like to go in on one with me? Tom (Belmont, MA) tosler@usa.com
