CV joint / boot replacement
I just bought an '02 A6. Awesome ride, black on black...I'm stoked to be a new owner. However, the car makes a clicking sound from the left front when I turn at slow speed...no vibrations yet. I need an affordable mechanic local to Sacramento who could do a CV joint / boot replacement for cheap. Any help would be much appreciated. -Josh

Just got that same call at 92k miles- please read OUCH
My car is assured.My car went in for a CEL, stall and rough run and no start/hard start and a squeaky blower motor and squeeky steering wheel.
Ok so $525 per side, the boots are torn. They tell me that the techs can take the cvs and re-pack them and switch them left to right to get newer wear at $325 per side, since most of the driving is done forward.
Hmm, I may try that myself.
