fluid replacement

I have heard of guys using other fluids for the transmision and the debates seam endless.. i hope you know what your doing with the tranmision . It invloves quite a bit doing this . and make sure you have a new filter .. i think you also need vag com to monitor the transmision temp .. good luck .. the rest is pretty easy ..

Every time i turn around their is some thing new dam! lol what is vag com? Do i really need it?
I have the tool that i need to fill it.....i have the gear shifting order and how i am suppose to do that.....I think 10 to 20 min of running should bring it up to operating temp.....what ells do i need? lol If i **** in it would it be 98.5 degrees Fahrenheit my god what's next! lol JK
I hear the same thing about the Trans oil. but i rather be right then wrong and f the hole thing up!

i am sure you will do your resaerch be fore atempting this . I have heard you need vag-com to monitor the temp as it is critical for filling .. then you have to cycle it in each gear while filling with it on jack stands maybe .. not sure i am sure there are people here who have done it .

Coolant is replaced when you do the Timing Belt service.
Oil is done on a regular schedule of about 1/10 that - 5k+ miles
PS fluid - only when it leaks
Brake fluid - Gastrol GT-LMA at your flaps
Auto Tranny - OEM only every 30-50k and its a very fussy job - best left to a pro.
So who ever needs a "kit"?

yes I agree when you get a new car replace all the fluids so you can start your maintanance cycle . can't see to many companies selling a kit though . you have to kind of do it yourself. That's what i did .. still have to do the transmision but the rest was pretty easy ..
