how to disable auto dimming mirrors
oh i forgot i had one more issue with my car. lol
Audo dimming mirrors. I dont like them, at all. Is there a way to keep them in the normal mirror mode all the time? They start dimming as the sun goes down and I really dont like that, and they stay dimmed at night, I could barely see if there would be a person walking on the sidewalk as I back into my driveway (dont worry i still turn my head around and look).

isn't the sensor where the rear view mirror meets the windshield? you want me to put tape on my windshield outside?
BUT then, it would be dimmed all the time, i dont want dimmed, i want Normal mirrors always.

Electical Tape FTW
So, if you want your mirror at "full brightness", taping over that sensor with something like black eletrical tape would certainly do the trick since the sensor would NEVER detect any light hitting the mirror, and thus would never apply any dimming to the mirror.

True dat. The square hole in the back of the mirror detects light also; you can test the dimming function in the daytime by covering it...mirror goes dim unless the sensor on the front of the mirror (back is toward the rear of the car) is covered. That's the little round frosted area about 4mm in dia. in the middle of the top of the mirrored surface.
TSB is exactly right...a little spot of black tape over that round sensor will keep the mirror undimmed.
