iPod

Can you wire an '02 A6 for a direct connection with an iPod or an iPhone? I'm using a FM connection right now, and it has a noticeable amount of static.

Is that just 02+, what if you have an 00, can you still have the IPOD info all show up on the radio?

I think it only displays if the radio is setup to display song title info...

...which the Symphony is not, since it only display CD # and Track # only....but I could be wrong.

DICE! No display information unless you have high MMI with Dension Gateway 500....

You need DICE integration for best results. You can control the iPod from your steering wheel buttons, the head-unit or the iPod itself. DICE is the best plug-n-play iPod integration for Symphony, Concert and RNS-E. The only way you can truly have real iPod display is when you have high MMI along with Dension Gateway 500. I recently installed this in wife's Q7 and will do a write up in that forum in coming days.

even with RDS the '00 radio will not display iPod info - but it will

play perfectly well using the kit (I have iceLink abd it works great).
