Radio for a 2000 Audi A6
I recently purchase an 2000 Audi A6 from a used car dealership, the radio did not work it needed a code. So after a week they final took the radio out to get the code. The radio works fine except for a little quirk. If you turn the radio off by pushing the button in while the car is running you cannot turn it back on until you pull the key out and put the key back in turn on and then turn off pull the key again then reinsert key then you can turn back on. The dealer said that is because the radio is a sympthony instead of bose like the speakers say. First of all has anyone every seen this and second I think he is pulling my leg because are they not the same thing

Not an Audi dealer, huh? BOSE is the speaker system, which has nothing to do with the radio type, only the coding. For your issue, there is either a problem with the coding, the radio, or maybe the ignition switch.

Sounds like a wrong coding issue, hidden menu goof-up or even a plug/pin not making contact, does your display show BOSE when starts up/on?

radio goes into search mode while driving
HAs anyone heard of this before. I am just driving down the street listen to a certain radio station and all of a sudden the radio goes into search mode. I turn the dail back to my radio station and it will stay there for a couple minutes and do teh same thing. Weird
