Recode Questions!!!

I see in lots of sigs and posts that people recode their Tip, windows and other items. If you have done any of them, how do you like it? Noticable change (for the Tip recode). Also, without buying the VAG-COM tool, would anyone in North Jersey know where to do this? I am friendly with the local Audi dealers, would a tech be able to do this really quick?

Dealer should be able to do the Tip recode in less than 30 seconds

while you are at it consider the window recode (doors lock at 10 mph and you can open/close windows and roof with key fob)

I did the tip recode and its much more fun. Makes the car feel more sporty....

also did the window code as well...very handy so far, maybe the novelty hasnt wore off yet.

How is your normal driving effected? I read through all those articles, but would love more real-world feedback.

It drives the same until you hit the gas. If you take it easy.....

then it still shifts early out of first. But gunning it off the line takes you to redline.

I love having the option to cruise when I want to and also drive aggressively when needed.
