RIM upgrades
Has anyone, that has a 98 and newer A6 ever had any problems with their power steering after putting on High profile tires. My cars has 100,000+ miles on it and I figured the power steering would go at some point but it appears the 235 tires are making it go a little faster.
When I get it repaired, is there something I should look into that might be better than factory. Something that will hold up to the stress the wheels maybe putting on the steering?

Flush the fluid every couple of years or 50K miles. I have a ZF rack
and it lasted almost 15 years, despite running wider tires. The seals finally gave out and I had swapped it for a rebuilt unit from a company out of Colorado. It's a bit stiffer to turn now.
Also make a point to never turn the steering wheel when the car is not moving forward or back. Places a lot more strain on the rack. You can be barely moving, but it really helps. You learn this when you have a non-power steering car ;-)
