rust issue

Default rust issue
99 a6q avant that is starting to show signs of rust along the water channels on the roof. i'm a 3rd owner and the vehicle has 83k on the clock. any ideas what audi's corrosion warranty is and has anyone else had a similar problem?

12 years unlimited miles corrosions perforation. See dealer/zone rep.

Default April-as always you have the right scoop! Am I correct to believe that if there is no -->
perforation (i.e., rust-through) then the dealer will deny it is a warranty issue?

Just curious...

Default It's true, dealer will do nothing. Probably even blame him for not "properly" washing and waxing in
there.

I've never encountered it in person. Seems really rare with 100% galvanized body.
