Something unusual! Left rear window won't go down! ....

But when you open the door and touch the switch the window goes up and down properly! Close the door again, the window won't work! Any thoughts??

I recall an issue with the driver's window switch/lock unit going south. (?)

No - neither window switch works with door closed! Now open the door and both work fine!

pinched wire

that is odd...seems as though there's a short somehow caused from the door in the closed position...can you take off the interior door trim and inspect your wiring harness in the open and closed position?

I have the same issue. Switch doesn't work with door closed! How crazy is that! Did you ever rectify the problem?
