Default used convinience control module recode...

i have an audi a6 1.9tdi, the old module was water damaged, so i bought an used one with the same part number. first ,i thought it was a plug and play, ok, most of it, when plug in the new unit, the electric seat, mirror, windows, interior lights are all working fine now, just the central locking gives very strange issue.
1. remote is not working on the key fob. (put new batteries in )
2. even manual lock is not working properly.
if i want to unlock the car, instead i have to lock the car for about 20times, until the locking clicking sound is gone, then i unlock it manualy, all four doors will unlock.
when i did unlock the car, lets say im left something in the car, i unlock as i said in section 2, i have to wait about 1 minute, so i can lock the car again. i took it to a independent garage, the electrician is certain, the new module is the pain in d ***, it need to be recoded.
any idea??? i just purchased the vag-com, still waiting for it to ship to me. so any help would be great

I would imagine that you just need to recode the key fobs to the car. I don't know the procedures but it is really simple.

Also, did you by chance check that there was a code from you old convenience module? Plug the old one back in and scan with vag-com. Then select the recode button and write down those two codes.

Then plug in your new module and scan with vag-com. Click on the recode button and copy the codes you just wrote down.

I would try simply recoding the keys to the car first. That may be enough.

Do a search on this forum on how to code your key fob for the instructions.

i am still waiting for the cable to come in... my first thought was trying to get the code from the old unit, but i ll c it will b pretty hard, the old unit is all rusty, and some legs on the chip are actually broken. lets just hope for the best the chip has nothing to do with d central locking
