Will the 930/21 oil filter work on the A6 2.7t? Another ? inside
I finally got my father situated into a 2002 Audi A6 2.7t. I drive an A4 2.8.
My dads car is in need of an oil change I have an extra Mann oil filter W 930/21 that I run on my 2.8. I thought I ran across a post online that said both motor use the 930/21 a while back and cant find it. I just want to make sure.
Also we are not sure if the car currently has synthetic or not, we are going to run Mobil 1 in it.
Will there be any ill effects if the old oil is conventional?

Yes, the W930/21 is for the 2.8L and the 2.7T. The only thing switching from conventional oil to ...
synthetic might do is you may have some oil leaks develop. Also, if the inside of your engine has any sludge or buildup the synthetic has more detergents in it and it will clean all of that out, which is good, but it means you should do a 1-2k mile oil change interval the first time you are using synthetic.
