Default 2008 Audi A6 3.2 Quattro Engine Problem

I recently purchased a 2008 A6 3.2 Quattro with only 38k miles on it. The car is in very good condition. But just one week after my purchase i was experiencing some problem with ignition. Usually i have to crank it a few times for the car to start and there seems to be a fairly big acceleration lag compare to my previous 2007 nissan murano. I took the car to the dealer and they said there was a leaking injector on cylinder 4 and replaced it with a new injector as well as a new spark.

Right after i could feel the car runs better and ignition is a lot easier. But just a day after i had trouble starting the car in the rain, had to crank it 3 times and also there seems to be a couple misfire when i start the engine. I typically asked the dealer if there is carbon build up in the engine but they said it's just the leaking injector...how come the car is still having trouble start??

I personally LOVE audi, and no matter how bad or unreliable their cars are i am still gonna keep my Audi, but the car only have 2 months warranty left and i want to get everything fixed before it expires.

Should I take it to Audi again and demand a full check on the engine??

Ps: i've been using high grade gas and driving non-aggresive too, i usually like to keep the RPM below 2k

I think if you're having issues with the car then take it in to get checked. Once you get it in and get the issue documented they should fix it whether the warranty has expired or not.

PS: These car are not meant to be driven like that... There meant to get out on the autobahn and run 100mph all day. Actually, mine runs better when I get it out and run the engine over 3k rpm for extended periods over 30-45 minutes under load. It helps keep the valves clean, they get nice and hot and burn off the build up. Trying to keep the engine below 2k rpm is a ridiculous notion IMO and could be adding to your problem. A lag taking off after you apply throttle could be the tranny axial seals leaking pressure or the torque converter.

Like they say "drive like you stole it". Too low of rpm isn't good for any engine. If you need the fuel economy, drive a Prius and use the Audi for the weekend.

Ok thanks i will see if i could work something out with the dealer and floor the car more often, maybe use sport mode all the time?? I see that u have a 2005 A6 did u experience some carbon issues and ignition as well?? where i live it gets down to -40 Celcius in the winter so i am very worried about ignition.
