Car is an 07 s6 I want to tap off the amp in the left rear compartment to add on another aftermarket amp to power a subwoofer. I have read many post on here but have not found a definite answer. Please help

 

if you are planning to add an additional amp to power the woofer, no need. This is how I have it. Just let the stock amp power the speakers and new amp for sub

 

the best way is to get a audio control DQL8 and add the aftermarket amp to it, then you got your subs. another good thing out that is, you will get ipod in your car with the audio control unit, and without spending 2000 for the ami and the retrofit kit for your glove box.

<center><img src="http://picasaweb.google.com/anroyottley/MO"></center><p>I have a 2007 S6 and I added an amp for my aftermarket subwoofers. I used the rockford fosgate 360.2 in my previous 2006 A6, very cumbersome with all the wiring.

The Dietz 1572 IMU is about 279 euros. I bought mine from ebay germany. It accepts fiber optic inputs from the MOST fiber loop and provides 4 RCA outputs (L and R, front and rear). All the factory equalization is processed in the bose amp. The outputs from the Dietz adapter are a flat unequalized signal.

The most bus is a fiber optic loop. You would to add the Dietz adapter to the loop with an input and an output fiber. These come with the adapter.

 

LC6 is great, but the DQL8 gives you many more functions. Either way they both work.
