Is Audi paint soft? Had car detailed and looks like salt was shaken over hood/fenders
I had my A6 detailed for the first time since I've had it (~2yrs) and the front-most foot of the hood and some of the fenders are covered in tiny chips that I never noticed before (and one small chip on top of the trunk, weirdly).
Before I had it detailed, I had a big scratch buffed out of front of the hood while I had some other body work getting done on it (dented rocker panel), and was looking pretty closely at the front of the hood then and didn't notice these chips.
Weirdest thing to me is that I never noticed this bad of (presumably) road rash on my previous two cars (both Fords), which had at least twice the mileage of my A6 (almost 60k),
Wouldn't be a detailing snafu, would it?
I guess this is why people get clear bras!

Many scoff, but I have had great results with this colored wax on my 2001 TT. It has considerable rash from track events and 100,000 miles of street use. With normal waxes I get lots of white specks. With this colored wax the specks are mostly invisible from 5 feet away. I was going to have my front end resprayed, but after trying this stuff I am satisfied.

I have tried both the colored wax and Dr. ColorChip. The colored wax tends to fade over time, unless perhaps you use it all the time.
