CD changer problem

Hi folks, somebody might be able to help me. Recently bought a '07 A6, the 6 disc changer plays for 2 seconds,stops, plays again for 2 seconds and keeps repeating this process. When it is playing the sound quality is excellent. Doing this with all 6 CDs. Tried a lens cleaner, did no good. Help please.
