Disconnect the Battery Question.
Can anyone help please?
I’m not sure if I should disconnecting the battery, I wanted to ask before doing this as I don’t want to be screwed.
Will the car will turn on again, or is this something the dealer will need to do, so they can reset something???

Car will start up just fine, it's pinch protection and a few other settings that will be lost if battery is disconnected for extended period of time. Dealers will charge 0.5-1.0 shop hours for this, an independent will likely do it for less.
Recommendation from others is to have a battery booster connected to the leads while swapping out, while some just say to do the swap quickly. And still others say "who cares about those silly settings"

When I disconnected the battery for a steering wheel swap, I had to resynchronize all the keys by inserting them into the ignition switch and starting the car for each key, and run all the windows through auto down and up to reset them. This was what the Bentley manual had instructed me to do.
