FR: Lambda probe problem, 4.2L
Let me introduce myself first.
I am French, owner of a 2006 Audi A6 Avant V8 4.2 FSI. Black, with a lot of options.
Note : old German registration, changed since 😉.
Bought in Germany early 2020 with 215000 km, 335000 km now.
I have DTC regarding lambda management :
P2415 (and P2416) : voltage to low on precata probe (S1)
P2626 : Sensor Pumping Current Trim Circuit/Open
At the beginning, I had only P2415 DTC on bank 2. I have it now on both banks.
DTC P2626 is less often.
My lambda probes (4 of them) have been changed last year, so less than 20000 km.
Heater resistance of the probes are ok. No leak on exhaust neither (inspected by my garage).
He told me it can be a wire problem, or ECU problem.
Hereafter, the tests done on VCDS :
Group 31 : coeff lambda at 1.99 whatever the trim. When I erase DTC and accelerate, values seem to behave correctly (around 1) :
And values 111 on group 30, but % values on group 33 seem high...(I have read that it could be MAF, but I have no DTC on MAF)
Then DTC come back within less than a minute and again probes become inactive (00100 on group 30) :
I have not manage to pass ageing tests : Regl base ON, but test remains OFF in block 4
No real effect when driving, but I have not done long distances (60 km max).
Idle is sometimes rough.
Any ideas ?
What wire inspections can be done ?
Thanks for any help.
