G201 brake sensor intermitent --> please help
My car is 05 A6 3.2. The dealer replaced the brakelight switch but I feel that they did something shady. The brake doesn't feel normal afterward anymore. it's much higher from ground than before. They said if the light pop up again, ABS module will have to be replaced. I don't know if I should trust them.
Also,
1. I just replaced the font brake pad to ceramic pads, the rear are still original. Does that matter?
2. My left tires needed to be replaced and my right tires are like brand new. Could this have caused the problem? I just went out the bought two new tires. Both sides are even now.

Yes, my car also got the brake light switch replaced at dealer during that time. They charged me over $250. I was falling off my chair looking at the bill. I though part alone was 50-100 bucks and totally not worth my time crawling around replacing it myself but the actual price was like 7 bucks. Definitely bring it in, they will most likely tell you to replace the ABS module and the quote should be around $2700 total. I didn't rebuild mine so no recommendation on that. Maybe someone else up here did. If not, ask people in C5 or A4 forums, there must be someone there has done it before. Mine went bad over the winter time too, eventhough I didn't feel the car any less stable without ABS nor ESC on, however, do get it fix asap.
