Intake box question?
So I bought this Audi A6 c6 with a 3.2l about 2 years ago and little by little I’m learning new things about the car.
Today while changing the air filter I noticed a round hole in the box with a spring. Pushed on it n the spring gave so the hole opened.
On the other hand I found a blocked hole on the intake hose.
Am am I missing a hose to connect the two. Thank you in advance.

I think your looking at the warm air intake valve... basically when the engine is cold, that flap opens and allows the intake to draw in hot air from the exhaust manifold. This helps the engine warm up quicker. Once the engine reaches a warmer temp, that flap closes and allows the colder air to be drawn in

For the air filter housing (left in your picture), mine is just like that.
For the intake hose (right in your picture), there is a piece missing.
From 06:40 time of the video below, you can see me disassemble the whole thing and identify what you may be missing.
