Default Question about value in meas block group 91-92-93

Hi everyone,
I just get a A6 06 and I really enjoy it. So I buy the VAG-COM to work with. Today I check the meas block number 91, 92, 93 and this is what come up:
Address 01: Engine (4F2 910 559 B)

14:15:37 Group 091: Camshaft Adjustment (Bank 1: Intake)
701 /min Engine Speed (G28)
0.0 % Intake Camshaft Duty Cycle
0.0°KW Adjustment (specified)
0.0°KW Adjustment (actual)

14:15:37 Group 092: Camshaft Adjustment (Bank 2: Intake)
703 /min Engine Speed (G28)
0.0 % Intake Camshaft Duty Cycle
0.0°KW Adjustment (specified)
0.0°KW Adjustment (actual)

14:15:37 Group 093: Camshaft Adjustment (Adaption Values)
0.4°KW Phase Position Intake Bank 1
4.5°KW Phase Position Intake Bank 2
2.6°KW Phase Position Exhaust Bank 1
1.9°KW Phase Position Exhaust Bank 2

Can somebody tell me what theses numbers are? And is something wrong with it. I do all my mechanic by myself but it my first car like my Audi so I'm a bit confuse about all this electronic. The car have 116K and running great. I really love the car and the drive. Sorry for my English because I'm from Quebec... Thank you all.

Did you have the engine running when you did these measurements? Those values are only calculated on engine start when the crankshaft syncs with the camshafts.

Measuring block 93 will give you the phase values for the camshafts relative to the crankshaft. 0 would mean perfect synchronization.

Looking at block 93 I see that the phase position for bank 1 is .4 and phase position for bank 2 is 4.5. From previous threads I think 8 is the service limit for the timing system. So you should be ok.

Raj basically explains it, I thought the number represents the degrees of correction the engine adaption system has to move to get correct timing. I was also under the impression that this is more a measure of timing chain stretch and while you can be under the service limit, one of the plastic timing chain tensioner themslves can break at any given moment

mine are currently 3* and 6* and I have been getting start up rattle for over a year

Thanks guy for the infos.. Yes raj99 the motor was already running when I took the measurement. And I forgot the motor is a 3.2 so I don't know if this make a difference.
