Question: If you swap the A6 Steering Wheel, will you need a new airbag ?

I'm thinking of getting a newer steering wheel for my 2006 A6.
Can I transfer the airbag from my current steering wheel to the new one ?

What do you mean newer steering wheel? Like the 2012 model? Then that's no but if it's 05-10 then yes. But there are 2 types of airbag the 3 stokes or 4 stokes. Also flowing around the web they're selling the airbag cover which you could swap of, but I wouldn't trust it.

Yes, it's a slightly used steering wheel with wood grain for the A6 2005-2009 model. And yes, it's exactly like my 4 stokes model. Thanks.

Then yes the airbag will fit.
