Default right rear window switch

The right rear window switch has stopped working. It works in the down position sometimes. From the drivers door it works fine. I guess it is just the switch. A little liquid was dropped on the switch. I see the armrest on ebay with switch. Or should I just get the switch? How difficult is this to replace?

Ray,

I'd just get the switch and all you need to do is remove the interior door panel...it's actually not that hard:

I think the part number is 4F0959855A5PR
you can find one on ebay for $7: Front Right Rear Window Switch Button for Audi A6 S6 C6 RS6 Allroad A3 S3 Q7 | eBay

you tube has a few videos how to take off the rear door panel. You would need some driver bits and a 2" putty knife or another flat object to pry off the clips.

the operation is very easy if you follow instructions.

I put a few drops of water on the switch(from above did not remove door panel) and blew it out with compressed air. I figured since the switch was shot I had nothing to lose. I did this a few times and switch is working. At first it worked intermittently but now it works good. If it becomes a problem I will remove door panel and replace the switch. I am not sure how switch works but it appears something in drink fouled the contact points.
