Squeaky Steering

Hey All,

I'm getting a squeaky sound from what sounds to be the steering wheel or behind the steering wheel. I know its not the steering pump since its not coming from the engine bay or outside.

Anyone else experience/have this problem?

Any information would be helpful.

yep i have the same problem as you, apparently its a sqeaky slip ring. It can be oiled apparently but I've had no success with oil

my C5 had it... somewhat common
any reputable VAG tech should know how to address it
probably some unscented grease or lubricant needed
