Cool, then I'm going to do the parking brake too.

No. This is just for people who already have push start that want to upgrade to the 09-10 style buttons.

To answer to your primary question, no it doesnt match. Like you mention, its black VS graphite.

But its not really noticeable. I installed mine yesterday.

And for install, its easy, just pull on the shifter boot and everything will come apart

Default Pics of new start button mod

I just put in the new button on my S6 last night. As RobV10 said, it took about 3 minutes. No need to remove any trim. I just stuck the edge of a credit card into the edge of the button assembly and pulled up on it until i could grab the edge and pull it straight out. Just make sure you keep hold of the wire when you unplug it so it does not fall into the dark abyss below the console. Then just snap the plug into the new unit and slide back in until it clicks. The button trim color matches the rest of the center console perfectly.

Default Part #'s

Folks, I am going to do this mod on my 2007 S6, however, the dealer finds multiple part numbers for both the Start/Stop and the Parking Brake switch... I have a North American version of the car, can someone confirm the proper part numbers and, if possible, what price they paid in the US???? Would like to order on Friday, any help appreciated....thx.

I ordered mine today but I have a quick question! Do you have to undo the battery or the power to the car when you did you mod?

Thanks
