2012 a7 from carmax

2012 a7 from carmax
I went to test view and test drive a 2012 a7 at carmax today.
The front end of the car seemed extra clean to me and my gut feeling told me it could have gotten in a minor accident and perhaps had some recent repsray.
Normally a car with 32k miles and a few years in the road would have rock chips on hood or even some scrapes under the bumper from parking curbs. This car's front end seemed immaculate.
Auto check report doesn't mention an accident. Can anyone run a carfax to see if there's something off with this vehicles history?

None of the car reporting services are infallible. Someone could have paid for repairs out of pocket and it didn't get reported. Check the underside panels for damage and fender hardware. Check the gaps between the panels.
I found Carmax cars to be priced higher than average. Check the market price using Edmunds and Kelly Blue Book. Others may suggest other sites for pricing.

My 2012 CPO A7 had been resprayed in the front for just that, rock chips. Many dealers will paint the bumpers (if needed) when they CPO a car. Same case on my 2010 Prius, Toyota had re-sprayed the front bumper cover, both cars had 32k when I bought them. Doesn't mean that they have been in an accident.

Thanks for the replies. It appears the car was resprayed. The hood and bumper due to excessive rock chips. The carfax is also clean.
I've had cars from carmax, and while they are sold at a slight premium over a comparable dealer, their extended warranty can't be beat- pays for itself over big ticket repairs quickly.
I tend to keep my cars longer 4-5 years and drive them over 100k miles so the longer warranty coverage is necessary.
I pulled the trigger on this car. So excited. Should be taking delivery next week. It's a 2012 prestige with every option except for B&O. With 31k miles it looks new inside and out. Drives great too. I'm going from a 2010 E550 which is in its own right a fantastic car.

Congrats Everman, post some pics when you're able and enjoy the new ride.
I was almost about to get a 2012 E350, but when the A7 came up with every option I wanted, I couldn't pass it up. I love it and my wife loves her Q3 as well.
