2019 A7 software issues
Picked up my 2019 A7 a few months ago. Great car but there a few software problems.
Discussed these issues with Audi USA. They were friendly but they do not have ability to effectively communicate with Audi Germany's software engineers. So no way to get the software engineers to look into these issues.
- Not able to use androidplay wireless - big problem- only works when using a cable
- Steering wheel movement with lane change
- Parking break sometimes goes on automatically when put in park, other times not
- Does not accurately identify speed limit (80%) whereas Waze gets it 100%
- In cruse-control, when there is a change in the speed limit, car brakes and jerks to lower speed
- Way too many gray-outs in software, need to remove safety defaults
- When you are driving and voice search for let's say a restaurant and it finds a restaurant while you're driving it, does not give you the ability to make the call to the restaurant unless the car is at a full stop. You should be able to able to call the restaurant without making a full stop by voice command.

Thanks for the detailed experience report but they're not too uncommon, so in order:
- Hopefully that gets fixed...
- Normal, lane change should not correct wheel if blinker is activated, if not activated then it corrects most of the time. Even when my blinker is on it sometimes vibrate or corrects but I kinda recall those times where the lanes aren't too clearly marked and the lane assist gets a little confused.
- Normal, I know the car is supposed to automatically determine if car is inclined to activate parking brake automatically, I have this feature in my Porsche and deactivated it as I always apply the parking brake so no sense it doing something automatically or not if I'm going to check or apply anyways.
- I can't speak for this one as none of my cars auto adjust cruise based on the speed limit signs that the auto-cruise reads digitally... hopefully it gets fixed.

- Safety issue, flawed as you can use voice to find while moving but can't call... hopefully gets fixed.

A7 great car, but could be better
Unfortunate that I can't directly communicate with engineers to get them to understand the issues. Hopefully they read this blog.

The 2019s do not have either Wireless Apple Car Play or Android auto. The 2020s introduce wireless Apple Car play, but not wireless Android Auto.
The car breaks to a lower speed in cruise control because you have set that option in the driver assistance predictive vehicle settings. You can turn that off.
