Advanced Key
I was wondering how far away from the car you have to be before it will no longer allow you to unlock the doors once they have been locked. I am just concerned about being in a restaurant or something where the car is not that far away and allows someone to open the doors, etc. I take delivery in May and can't wait!

If you have the new C7 A6, no. AFAIK, the new A8, A7, & A6 all have push button start, but advanced key for the doors is an option and cannot be retrofitted after the car's built.

Depends on the country. In the UK you can close by holding the key fob button or the switch inside the car in addition to the button on the tailgate. No idea what is available in Japan though.

Thanks. I am having it delivered to the US, so it will be US spec. From other posts in the US, I think we only have the option to close it from the trunk.
