AMI not connected??

AMI not connected??
Is anybody having the same problem with an apple product (iPod iPhone iPad) I have the red cable (which it doesn't make any difference vs the blue one because I use it with an adapter for iPhone 5s) and I used to be able to access my music when I connected my phone
Now it is only through Bluetooth
My only guess is the new OS8 has something to do with it.
I will try my wife's phone and my iPad 4, and maybe and old iPod to rule my phone out.
UPDATE: Never mind, I tried my wife´s and my Ipad and both worked, so the problem was my phone, I just restart it and the car was able to see it again, that reminds me to restart Apple products from time to time, even though they are working "flawlessly"
