This makes me feel a little better about my purchase today. I was going to wait for a 2013 but found a Prestige in Quartz on a used lot with only 2200 miles on it. I was going back and forth about should I get new because of the rebate. The new one just cost me 500 more.

As you said, the 2013 A6/C7 Loyalty rebate for previous Audi owners is now $1500. The 2012 Loyalty was $1000 for lease and $2000 for purchase. They combined and averaged them for 2013. Not sure why they were different for lease/purchase in the past.

They take the VIN from the other car and submit it with the rebate form. They will check the registration on it. The loyalty is to the person who spent money on an Audi in the first place. It's only fair.

Or, in other words, if you and your cousin are willing to put the sales order and registration in his name, then yes, the rebate applies. However, you darn well better trust him because the car will be legally his.

Or you could have him buy it and then buy it from him 2 seconds later. You would lose out on sales tax though.

You can always join Audi Club Of NA and you'll get $500 off your next purchase or lease. You have to be a member for at least six months first though before you'd be eligible.
