Default CD Changer

I received a call from Audi today saying that a CD changer is now available for my A7. Has anyone else received this call?

I don't know why they still have the CD changer when it eats up so much space in the glove box.

I ordered my A7 in November 2011 and took delivery in February 2012. I do not have the CD changer im my glove box. Also, I have not been contacted that the CD changer is now available. Should I be expecting this call?

I ordered my A7 in December and will take delivery in May ( I am currently living in Japan and won't return to the States until then). I received a credit because the CD changer was no longer being fitted. Has Audi changed their mind? I will use my iPod majority of the time anyway but still curious.

I wish they never installed mine and gave me a credit instead, would rather have the space in the glove box as well. Who uses cd changers anymore anyway?

I purchased an A7 that just arrived. All of the ones coming in now do not have the CD changer but come with a $350 credit against the list price instead. My dealer said Audi changed their minds and that is the way they all will be shipped in the future. I don't know if he's telling the truth but I'd rather have the $350 than the CD changer anyway so I'm happy with that.

I'd prefer the CD player handle SACDs (ok, a dead format but Dire Strait's "Money For Nothing" is a fun multi-channel experience) with a better sound system than Bose would be very cool!
