Default Comparing A6/A7

Hi im looking into both cars the Audi A6 and A7.
But comparing the difference between these cars apparently is close.
The exterior looks both are nice design which the A7 looks like the Mercedes CLS550.
Seating, engine shifters are all the same as i see it.
Cargo is much different in all ways.
both 2016 are 333hp 325 lb ft torque.
why A7 cost must more than the A6
A7 starts PP 68500 and A6 PP 57400.
I may of missed something?
I appreciate for your insight thanks.

Nope. You're paying more for the hatch back and exclusivity. The cars, when optioned identical are the same minus the hatch and some styling parts.

A7 little longer 2 in little wider little lower, engine tuned for more HP, bigger brakes, bigger wheels and tires. That probably accounts for the first 1 - 2 k in price. Boostedws6 pretty much nailed it after that.

Love m 2012 and more importantly my wife does as well. If we replace it will probably special order it and maybe do european delivery

The funny thing is once they are used the gap narrows quite a bit. If I had been buying new I would have had a hard time with the big difference.....buying a CPO made the decision easy....A7 all the way.

There is no difference in the engines between the two, they are the same at 333 BHP and 325 lb-ft of torque.

Oh ok i really didnt see it that way.
I would need to see it in person. Everytime i visit the dealer they dont have the A7 in stock they will try to sell me the A6 2.0 instead. lol
Thanks for your reply, it is helpful for me to make a prudent decision in purchasing a new Audi A6 or A7. I also like the style of the A7 which i've seen it driven in Far Rock. Thanks again.

It is quite hard to make the decision to go either way.

Engine are the same for the 2016 or even 2015. Just paying for the style and size of the vehicles and all the other stuff like you said the brakes, etc.

I think the #1 thing you are paying for is the style.....not that that should be overlooked. The A7 is absolutely stunning....the A6 is......nice.

The #2 thing you are paying for is the utility of the hatchback.....which I'm discovering is very handy.

I strongly agree. Main reason we bought it. The A7 has 40% more cargo space than a A6. It's cavernous. In Colorado, we always haul stuff, dogs, gear.

Would prefer a new Avant and the a7 is close. And has cutting edge style. Saw a new RS6 avant in Zurich recently, to wet your pants for.
