Disabling the adblue system completely
Garage man trying me there are several errors showing up with the adblue system. The dreaded countdown is started and top up is no good . With only 200 miles left now. So my mechanic tells me he has gone down the road of completely disabling the adblue system on other similar year Audi's. Mine is a 2018 A7, new model. Though he says he's never done it on an A7. Any one ever have this done as a means to fix all the pesky adblue errors?

Disabling the adblue system is technically illegal in the US unless its an off-road use vehicle. Will you get caught? Probably not unless you live in an emissions area. Most shops will not do it as it can be severe penalties to them if caught.

No less illegal there, perhaps more so as they go for the owner, as the legal onus is on the person who owns and drives the car on public roads. And if the OP is on the mainland, they have to deal with an annual MOT test which will pick up the huge increase in NOx emissions resulting from the missing Adblue system - doesn't seem like a good solution.

What errors you have (error code)? Can you solve it?
Technically canceling the adblue system is possible and nobody will notice anything, at least in Europe. But it is illegal.
