does anyone know- 8 speed Multitronic

hello all,

does anyone know if 8 speed multitronic transmission of the diesel 3 ltr (european edition) is developed by the ZF group?
i know the petrol 8 speed (us edition) is developed by zf.

i have been to the website of ZF and they mention the zf but i think its for the US edition.....

I didn't think ZF had anything to do with Audi's Multitronic CVT's.
