Since it is so hot in VA right now maybe the nightvision system cannot highlight or warn you about pedestrians.

According to another member here:

You can still see them just fine they just don't get a yellow box around them because the body temperature is too similar to ambient temperature. The car can't tell the difference but you can if you are looking at it.

Yes, I'm already a member for some time. Unfortunately, I just filled out their latest survey a day before the error started happening. Next time for sure.

My check engine light issue is finally solved after almost 2 months of back/forth trips to the dealer--I'm still a little upset w/ the time frame needed to identify and correct this issue... which seemingly took place due the stink I raised w/ AoA - getting the shop foreman and service mgr involved. And my night vision still doesn't work, but oh well... It useless anyway. See details below:

So I thought :/

Reference horror stories one, two, and three... The car's back in for service for the check engine/MI light. I dropped it off on Monday morning and I just received a call stating that the foreman found some kind of issue w/ the intake runner control valves-this is by far the WORST experience I've ever had w/ a vehicle. new or used. Advisor says the car should be ready tomorrow - Friday at the latest. I'm completely at my wit's end.

I can usually put up with the diagnosing / fixing / re-diagnosing / re-fixing... intermittent issues are hard to figure out

Where I REALLY sympathize with you is on the lack of return calls / customer service from the dealer

Nobody should have to deal with that.

Fixing a car isn't always easy. Treating customers' issues with importance, and keeping them in the loop on progress is Service 101 and there's no excuse for the dealer not managing that part of the equation.

VA Beach Audi should be embarrassed

That's my biggest issue--The only reason I received a call is because I called AoA and referenced my case number (Yes I have one, unfortunately)... The representative called the dealership and I magically received a phone call 10mins later. Hopefully the guys down in Raleigh are light years beyond this in customer service.
