Default Failed to order an A7

I'm just venting here, there's nothing of substance in this post.

I emailed a dealer's internet manager to order a 2014 A7. I reply to him on the same day with the order slip signed and my credit card information for the deposit. He tells me I have 4 weeks to make any changes to the order before. Throughout the following week, I email him twice with changes but hear nothing back. So at the end of the week, I call his office in the morning to find out what's going on. He tells me he forgot about my order. I asked about the most recent email I sent him two days earlier. He says, "what email?" Checks his inbox, "oh, I don't know how I missed that." So I ask him when he's actually going to put the order in. He said he should be able to get to it tomorrow morning and send me a full price quote I asked for a week ago. Why not sometime that day? Whatever, 24 hrs isn't a big deal so I said ok. So the next day passes and I still hear nothing from him.

How freaking long does it take to put in a car order? I had also emailed two other dealers earlier asking for a price quote and they did not respond. I expect better service for a $70k+ car.

It's a shame, I really like Audis. But at this point, I'm going to start shopping for another brand. Most likely Tesla, since I won't have to deal with the outdated dealership model.

I'm not sure of your location, but find another dealer if you can. That's inexcusable no mater what type of car your buying

Wow! In your post you mention two other dealerships. I understand your frustration particularly if you are a baseball fan with three strikes you're out. Hopefully that last one was a foul tip and you can find a reputable place who will make good on the Audi name and reputation. Fwiw I would also let audi America know. Lastly, if you belong to an auto group with purchasing power, like AAA, go to their website, price a car through them and see how many dealerships come running to you with as much as 5.6% off list. Best of luck regardless of what you buy/lease.

Default Fantastic Audi dealers

I've bought new and used Audis from both Danbury Audi and Fairfield Audi in Connecticut. Great sales teams in both dealerships... and ESPECIALLY wonderful service department in Fairfield. NO ONE is more selective and demanding than me.

Take your money and walk elsewhere...but make sure you contact the General Manager (not Sales Manager) of the dealership and inform him why you're walking...never ever chase any business to give them your $$ - too many of them out there that would appreciate your patronage regardless of what you're buying.
