Gearbox malfunction
Hi All.
Yesterday during normal driving gearbox light came on the dash and information Gearbox malfunction, you can continue driving. After scan found out that it is error code P1891. Car is driving fine. Gearbox changes gears smoothly on D but I can not switch to S and to Tiptronic ( steering pads are fine to change gears).
Can anybody had the same problem?

The code you have listed is a generic OBD2 code. Scan with VCDS / VCP and report VAG codes, or take it to a shop that has this capability. Without a specific code, it will be very difficult to diagnose your problem. A fluid flush is always a great place to start with transmission problems. But, without access to VCDS / VCP, you can not reset the clutch adaptations; you should NOT perform a fluid service if you can not reset clutch adaptations, as this may result in excessive wear to the clutches and brakes.
