I was getting the glass break sensor code on my 2018 A7 so I removed the rear hatch interior trim expecting to find an electrical connector not connected.
Instead I found one of the solder connections not making contact on the passenger side. I couldn't tell by looking at it but the tab on the left was separated from the contact on the glass.
I pryed the connections completely off which I added some solder with a solder gun.
Then I held the connector back in place and hit the solder tabs with more heat from my solder gun to melt the solder creating a solid electrical connection.
There are two solder tabs (about 3/4" apart) on the passenger side and one solder tab on the drivers side.
If you measure between the 3 solder tabs you should get contunuity.
I recently purchased the A7 used which the previous owner had window tint installed which may have caused the issue.
