HID replacement
I'd like to replace the HID bulbs on my A7 to have them brighter (I know it only looks better not really "brighter", anyway). However, my dealer can't install any non-audi part. On top of that, it seems there's no on-line guidance that I can follow. Does anyone know how to do replace the HID bulb?

Do you mean that you want to change the color or do you want to increase the wattage? You probably shouldn't try to increase the watts. Todays cars use small wires and increasing the load results in toasted wires and connectors.

Thanks for the super fast reply.
I'd like to change the bulb with the same wattage. The only different would be the light color (to 6000k from original 4300k). It shouldn't affect the electronics system.
I tried searching with keywords like audi/a7/HID/replacement/change/DIY... but I can't find any guide for A7. I get tons of links for Q7 though.

Take lots of pictures and write a DIY when you figure it out.

I found the website below when searching info about my A7 hid issue. Although I haven't had it done, the site shows lots of info/pics about our A7s. I don't know if it's been posted here. Just to share the info and hope it helps someone someday.
